NORFOLK, Va. — Three people were wounded in a shooting in Norfolk late Sunday morning and one of the wounded has been charged, authorities said.
The Norfolk Police Department (NPD) responded to a reported shooting in the area of Faulk Road and Sellger Drive at 11 a.m. When police arrived they found a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Two others arrived at Sentara Leigh Hospital with gunshot wounds a short time later. Officers responded to the hospital and found a 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds that were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Detectives determined that the incidents were connected. The investigation found that three acquaintances were involved in an altercation on Faulk Road when the shooting happened.
21-year-old Khamry A. Gregory of Norfolk was charged by detectives with two counts of malicious wounding, two counts of use of a firearm and two counts of discharging a firearm causing injury. He is still in the hospital being treated for his life-threatening gunshot wounds and will be taken to Norfolk City Jail and held with bond when released from the hospital.
