HAMPTON, Va. — The Hampton Police Division is investigating a maiming that happened Wednesday night, according to a press release.
Around 10:01 p.m., authorities received a call about a shooting in the 300 block of Fern Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
His condition was deemed non-life-threatening, and he was then transported to a local hospital.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the man had just returned home when he was approached by a suspect outside the residence who began firing in his direction.
The Hampton Police Major Crimes Unit is working to investigate the motive and circumstances surrounding this and to identify any potential suspects in connection to this incident.
