HAMPTON, Va. — A man has serious injuries after a stabbing Saturday night in Hampton, police say.
Hampton police say they received a call reporting a stabbing in the 1300 block of Saxton Drive just before 10 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a 40-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital by Hampton Fire and Rescue.
A police investigation revealed the victim and suspect were in a verbal argument which turned physical; the suspect cut the victim and then fled the scene on foot.
Hampton Major Crimes Unit detectives are investigating the incident. Police have not publicly identified a suspect at this time.
