Hampton business robbed at gunpoint by three people Saturday night

The suspect with the gun "fired several shots into the air inside of the business." The three suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

HAMPTON, Va. — Three people robbed a store in Hampton at gunpoint late Saturday evening, and police are asking for the public's help to identify and apprehend them.

According to a spokesperson for the Hampton Police Division, this robbery was reported at around 9:40 p.m. at the BK’s Tobacco and Accessories, located on Kecoughtan Road near the intersection with Ivy Home Rd. Three people entered the store, and one of them showed the store employee a handgun. They demanded "items," according to police. After getting these, the spokesperson said that the suspect with the gun "fired several shots into the air inside of the business." The three suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The first suspect was described by police as a black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black mask, and black sweatpants with white stripes down the side. The second suspect was described as a person of unknown race or gender, wearing a black mask, an all-blue shirt and pants, and carrying a dark colored backpack. The third suspect was described as a black woman wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and dark colored pants.
