COURTLAND, Va. — The Southampton County Sheriff's Office is searching for a wanted suspect after an alleged robbery and assault in Courtland earlier this month.
It happened on April 4 in the 25000 block of Oak Trail. According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a report of a robbery. Deputies found the victim, who said she was robbed in the parking lot of the apartment complex by three men.
The victim's purse, credit cards and cash were stolen. The victim was also assaulted and had a minor injury, the sheriff's office said.
Detectives identified one of the suspects as 24-year-old Dalveon Ricks of Franklin. Ricks is wanted for abduction, the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, wearing a mask in a public place with intent to conceal identity, assault and battery, credit card theft and grand larceny.
Detectives are working to identify two other suspects in the incident.
