VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection to a shooting last month that left an 8-year-old Virginia Beach boy seriously hurt.
Landyn Davis was shot in the head by a stray bullet while he was playing video games inside his Peele Court home on the evening of Feb. 13. Landyn was placed in a medically induced coma for several days, and his parents say he is making strides on a long road to recovery.
Chesapeake man Jawuan Jefferies, 21, faces charges including aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit a felony, and 24 counts of maliciously shooting into an occupied dwelling.
His arrest comes after three other suspects were arrested: Toriyon Cook, Jerry Davis, and Jakyra Epperson.
Jefferies is currently in custody in Chesapeake for unrelated charges, the Virginia Beach Police Department said.
