HAMPTON, Va. — A convicted felon is in custody more than seven months after a shooting in Hampton left one man dead and another injured, authorities announced Tuesday.
Dwayne Marrow was arrested in Newport News on Tuesday in connection to a shooting on July 16, 2023. Marrow is facing several charges, including murder and aggravated assault.

Hampton police previously identified Marrow as a suspect in the overnight shooting outside a 7-Eleven on West Mercury Boulevard. Police at the time said there was a large "disorderly" crowd in the parking lot when they arrived.
Police found a man, later identified as 27-year-old Jahleel Angus of Yorktown, dead.
While at the scene, they learned of another victim, a Newport News man, who had walked into Sentara Careplex. He survived his injuries, however.
