NORFOLK, Va. — A man is behind bars after an investigation by Norfolk Police revealed he was connected to a July shooting on Pretty Lake Avenue.
The shooting happened Sunday, July 21 around 7:20 p.m. in the 2100 block of Pretty Lake Avenue, in the Ocean View section of the city. Arriving officers found the victim with a life-threatening gunshot wound, and pronounced him dead at the scene. The victim was later identified as 24-year-old Norman A. Hollowell Jr.
As a result of the police department's investigation, 23-year-old Steven E. Williams was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm.
He is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
