NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A man who was shot multiple times in Newport News last month has died, and now detectives are asking for help to find his killer.
The shooting happened around 5:40 on the morning of Sunday, October 15, in the 1000 block of Garden Drive off of Roanoke Avenue. Officers arrived to find 39-year-old Quandrell Williams of Smithfield suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Williams was rushed to a local hospital, where he died 10 days later.
There's no word on what may have led to the shooting. Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
