CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A man has been charged in connection to a 2023 Chesapeake shooting that killed a teenager and injured four other people, the Chesapeake Police Department (CPD) said.
Keyshawn Marcel Shannon, 21, is charged with multiple charges, including second-degree murder and reckless handling of a firearm in a shooting in the 1300 block of Drayton Road.
On Sept. 23, 2023, CPD responded to a call around 5:02 p.m. about reported gunshots.
Police found three boys and two adult men suffering from gunshot wounds. All five victims were transported to the hospital. One of the boys, 14-year-old Emmanuel Winston, later died from his injuries.
