ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — The Pasquotank County Sheriff's Office has arrested an Elizabeth City man for possessing child pornography.
Deputies launched an investigation into 22-year-old Cody Baker in September, finding enough evidence to issue six felony warrants for second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Baker was arrested on Monday. Following his arrest, search warrants were issued at three different Elizabeth City homes. Deputies said they recovered cell phones, guns, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, multiple controlled substances including marijuana and psilocybin, and over $3,000 in cash.
While in custody, Baker was also served warrants for a felony Domestic Violence Protective Order violation. Baker is currently being held at the Albemarle District Jail under a $105,000 bond. The investigation is still underway, and police say additional charges are likely.
