CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A woman is facing charges in connection to an August shooting that left a man dead in Chesapeake.
The Chesapeake Police Department said officers were called to a home in the 2100 block of Shady Lane early in the morning of August 20. When they arrived, they found 29-year-old Michael Morgan of Suffolk shot several times.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
On Wednesday, police said 28-year-old Martisha Parker of Chesapeake had been taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. She is currently in jail without bond.
