CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A Chesapeake man was sentenced to 22 years in prison on Oct. 3 for possession and distribution of child pornography.

Shawn Piazza, 27, was sentenced to a total of 72 years with 50 years suspended. After he serves 22 years in prison, he will be put on sex offender-specific probation and required to register as a sex offender for life.

A search warrant was executed at his home, and multiple devices were seized containing child pornography with children between the ages of 1 and 14.

Piazza received the sentences on one count of possession of child pornography, first offense; 10 counts of possession of child pornography, second or subsequent offense; and 10 counts of distribution of child pornography.
