NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Newport News police responded to a call of a car that hit two homes early Monday morning.
The call came in about 4:37 a.m., according to police spokeswoman Kelly King. It happened near the intersection of Main Street and Warwick Boulevard.
The driver of the vehicle, an adult male, crashed into two private residences, causing damage to both, King stated. He was extricated from the vehicle and taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
There were no other vehicles involved, King stated. The Crash Investigation Team is looking into the incident and believes speed was a factor.
