VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Bond was denied on Friday for the man accused of killing a high school student outside of an Applebee's restaurant in Virginia Beach back in May.
19-year-old Andarion McInnis is charged with murder and robbery. A juvenile is also charged in this case.
Investigators say those suspects shot and killed 18-year-old Bryant Cueto outside of the Applebee's back in May.
According to court documents, the slaying was over a drug deal of Xanax pills. Cueto's friend told police the teen wanted to sell pills to the suspects.
McInnis' father testified on his son's behalf during Friday's bond hearing, calling his son obedient. Another woman said he returned her lost wallet.
However, the judge still denied bond. In fact, McInnis is supposed to be on good behavior stemming from a previous disorderly conduct charge.
The victim's uncle spoke with 13News Now outside of court, and said the family's torment is unimaginable.
