Arrest made after greeting cards with narcotics sent to VPRJ

Two women are facing charges after greeting cards with narcotics inside were found at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.

JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. — Two women were charged after greeting cards with narcotics inside were mailed to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.

On November 22, 2019, the James City County Police Department was contacted by the VPRJ staff after four greeting cards were found in the mailroom with strips of Suboxone inside. Suboxone is a prescription medicine used to treat adults who are addicted to or dependent on opioid drugs.

The letters were addressed to inmate Brittany Wolf.

During the investigation, police learned that Madison Babe was the person who sent the cards.

Babe was charged with delivery of drugs to a prisoner, which is a felony. She was arrested on January 18, 2020.

Wolf was also charged in December with Prisoner: possess Schedule II drug.
