PORTSMOUTH, Va. — On Oct. 3, Portsmouth police received a "BOLO" or "be on the lookout" alert for a group of armed individuals that carjacked a vehicle in the 2600 block of Cunningham Drive in Hampton.
This morning, around 9 a.m., Portsmouth Police spotted the stolen vehicle on Airline Boulevard.
Once the driver noticed officers, he began to speed, and eventually he collided with two other vehicles that each had two occupants. The suspect also struck a police car.
Two of the people, along with a Portsmouth Police officer, were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. The other two people declined medical services.
The suspect was arrested and is currently in police custody.
