PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A person under the age of 18-years-old is in the hospital Sunday evening after a shooting in Portsmouth.
Police were called to the 200 block of Alden Avenue around 6:45 p.m. for a report of a shooting, according to a Portsmouth Police Department spokeswoman.
Officers found a juvenile male with a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening, she said.
The individual was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police say that this is an open investigation and that there are no additional details available at this time.
