NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured in a shooting in Newport News early Friday morning, police said.
The shooting happened at a business in the 13300 block of Warwick Boulevard, according to the Newport News Police Department.
Officers responded around 2:40 a.m. and found the teenager outside with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics took him to a hospital to be treated.
Police didn't say what led to the shooting or share information about possible suspects but said an investigation is ongoing.
