RICHMOND (AP) -- A coolant problem has shut down a reactor at Dominion Virginia Power's power station in Surry County.
Dominion says in a filing with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission that a loss of coolant flow caused the Unit 2 reactor to automatically shut down Wednesday.
Dominion says no radiation was released and there were no injuries or contamination.
The utility didn't know how long repairs will take.
The Unit 1 reactor continues to operate at 100 percent of capacity.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported Dominion's filing Thursday.
