The city of Virginia Beach sent out a statement about using the city logo on any items sold without the city's permission.

Mariah Johnson is donating her time to make "VB Strong" decals for community members.
“I’m just a stay-at-home mom who has a craft that I know how to do that can do a little bit to make a little bit of money for the families," she said.
Johnson said she knows what it’s like to lose someone suddenly. Last year, her sister passed away.
“May 31st, 2018 my younger sister died unexpectedly. May 31st of 2019 there’s an active shooter,” she said.
All day Wednesday, Johnson worked in her dining room creating, cutting and scraping, making sure these decals are just right. She is selling the stickers for $5, with three of those dollars going straight to the United Way to help the victims' families.
The rest of the money is used to make more stickers.
“The money that goes to these families is the proof to show them that this community is standing behind them and supporting them and that their loved ones mattered,” Johnson said.
Johnson has raised $300 in just one day for the victim’s families. Her plan is to donate all the money she raises to the United Way on Friday.
