PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Access to healthy food and healthy living is a big goal for the staff at Bon Secours who work out of the community health hub in Portsmouth. Their outreach near Cradock includes a food pantry, which dozens of people visit every Monday.
This Monday's pantry was extra special, as Bon Secours staff provided turkeys along with other food items, just in time for Thanksgiving.
Additionally, the staffing agency Surge Force was also on hand, providing a resource table for job opportunities in Portsmouth.
Bon Secours' community health hub is located at 4700 George Washington Highway near Victory Boulevard in Portsmouth.
The healthy food pantry is open from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Mondays. It's first-come, first-served and anyone is welcome.
