Neptune Spring Wine Festival returns to Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Enjoy unlimited wine samples from around the world on the beach. The 18th Annual Neptune Spring Wine Festival returns on May 20.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — It's festival season here in Hampton Roads, and a local wine festival is returning to the beach next weekend!

On Saturday, May 20, Neptune's 18th Annual Spring Wine Festival is headed back to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

The annual event transforms 31st Street Park into a hub of tasting stations from around the world. According to a news release from the festival, there will be more than 70 wines from eight different countries: Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, and right here in the U.S.

There's food, too. Two food trucks, DaBiscuit and Luv-a-Bowls, will be on-site with food for purchase.

Don't miss live music from Ever After Duo and Kaboombox from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.

There are several places to take photos across the park. One local artist, "OnieTonie," created a special backdrop to pose in front of, according to the news release. There is also a champagne garden spritz display from Chandon Winery in California.

Attendees can bring small coolers with outside food and non-alcoholic beverages, but outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

Tickets are on sale on the festival's website. They're $45 if you buy them before Sunday, but the price goes up to $50 if you wait.

Each ticket includes a commemorative wine-tasting glass and unlimited tastings at the event.

You can also reserve a table for $430. Those include eight tasting tickets, a table and chairs, a plant centerpiece for you to bring home, a chilled bottle of wine, and eight bottles of water.

Make sure you leave your pets at home. People must be at least 21 years old to attend the festival.
