NORFOLK, Va. — Tuesday's stormy weather has canceled some National Night Out events in Hampton Roads.
Norfolk's National Night Out event, hosted by the Norfolk Police Department at Five Points Park Plaza, is canceled. Organizers said there is no rain makeup date.
Meanwhile, the Chesapeake Redevelopment and Housing Authority's National Night Out event has also been canceled.
Portsmouth's National Night Out was postponed, with a new date set for Tuesday, October 1 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Festival Park.
National Night Out events are held to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while supporting a true sense of community.
So far, other local National Night Out events, including in Virginia Beach, Newport News, Suffolk, and Portsmouth, are still scheduled at this time.
