NORFOLK, Va. — The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore opened a new food hub, The Community Feed at Berkley, located at 701 S Main Street in Norfolk.
Sentara has teamed up with the Foodbank to address the challenge of food access in underserved communities.
The food hub is strategically located adjacent to Sentara Care Clinic, providing medical, behavioral health, social support services, and nutritious food.
Community members and patients can shop once a week. They will be provided with fresh food at no cost.
The food hub aims to address nutritional needs through educational programming.
The Community Feed at Berkley is open to the public during the following hours:
- Tuesday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Wednesday 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Thursday 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Saturday 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.
