VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Tuesday, July 16 marks a day that people from across the Commonwealth will remember Bellamy Gamboa.
Gamboa is the Virginia Beach mother of four who went missing last year. Her ex-boyfriend was later arrested for her murder.
Earlier this year, Governor Ralph Northam proclaimed that July 16 -- her birthday -- would be designated "Bellamy Gamboa Day" to raise awareness for the warning signs of domestic violence.
This weekend, Gamboa's family is hosting a volunteer appreciation day to raise money in her honor.
