NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk Department of Fire-Rescue said crews responded to a fire on Sewells Point Road on Friday evening.
The fire was reported at 6949 Sewells Point Road, which is the location of Norview Garden Apartments, around 7:15 p.m. Firefighters got it under control at 7:35 p.m.
An update the next day from the department stated that there were no injuries, but seven families in total were displaced from the damage. This meant 10 people in total and eight units.
Two of the families are being helped by the Red Cross, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
