NORFOLK The commanding officer of Norfolk Naval Shipyard has been temporarily reassigned while being investigated for allegedly violating the Uniform Code of Military Justice, conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.
Rear Admiral select Greg Thomas will be assigned to temporary duty at Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington.
Thomas is being investigated for his treatment of subordinates under his command. The Navy did not give details on the allegations.
Rear Admiral Joseph Campbell will serve as the acting shipyard commander.
