WILLIAMSBURG -- A 'minor electrical issue' caused the shut down of the Apollo's Chariot roller coaster at Busch Gardens Thursday afternoon, according to park spokesman Kevin Crossett.
Park officials had to escort riders off the attraction while maintenance personnel escorted riders off the ride.
A 13News Now viewer just sent us photos of people having to walk down from the ride after it was shut down.
Crossett says'ride safety systems are designed to exacting standards; when a shutdown does occur, it is an indication that these systems are working properly.'
The ride was shut down for 45 minutes.
