VIRGINIA BEACH - A Va. Beach judge imposed the jury's recommendation and sentenced Marshall Moyd to 68 years in prison.
Moyd is the second man convicted in the August 2008 murder of Det. Michael Phillips.
Det. Phillips went undercover to buy marijuana from Moyd at Green Run Square Shopping Center. Moyd left after meeting with Phillips and met up with Ted Carter, who then went to the shopping center and opened fire, killing Phillips.
Carter is serving a life without parole sentence for his capital murder conviction.
