NORFOLK (AP) -- Three members of a Portsmouth gang have been sentenced on federal charges.

Amaad Jamal Brantley will spend 12 years in prison for his role in home invasions, attempted murders and other crimes.

The 24-year-old Portsmouth resident pleaded guilty last August to participating in a pattern of racketeering activity. He was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Norfolk.

Brantley was a member of the Bounty Hunter Bloods gang.

U.S. Attorney Neil H. MacBride says two other members of the gang were sentenced Wednesday.

Twenty-five-year-old Jerrell Ivey Woodley of Portsmouth received a 10-year sentence on a weapons charge. Forty-seven-year-old Darius Demarco Prayer was sentenced to 13 years on racketeering and weapons charges.
