VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Authorities have arrested a 15-year-old in connection to a gunshot victim that was found in an area that Navy police classify as military housing in June.
The victim, 18-year-old Isaiah D. Martin, was found in the 100 block of Minneapolis Drive just before 3:15 p.m. on June 23.
Navy police told 13News Now that the area where Martin was found is military housing.
The victim died from his injuries and police are investigating his death as a homicide.
On July 11, one of the suspects Isaac Lecheino Wilson (pictured below), 20, or the 800 block of Riverbend Road was charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
Virginia Police arrested a 15-year-old male on July 20 for the charges of Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and Conspiracy to Comit a Felony.
The juveniles' identification was not released, but he is being held in the Virginia Beach Juvenile Detention Center without Bond.
Family members of Martin said he was turning 19-years-old on Saturday, the day after he was killed.
His father, Nick Saucier, said it's been tough on the family
"It's already given that you're going to lose a parent, not given you're going to lose a child," said Saucier.
He said right now, they're not talking much about the case and will let police do their work.
"Whatever case they build, I'm not going to do anything or say anything that may jeopardize their case," he said.
Martin's family said he leaves behind a 10-month-old daughter.
