What are the instructions? You should first wash the four non-stick pans in warm soapy water before you get started. Once they're dry, place tortillas into the Perfect Tortilla pans, gently pressing into the bottoms and sides. Bake tortillas according to the recommended cooking times. Those times range from 5 to 12 minutes depending on the size of the tortilla and how crispy you want your tortilla. When your shells are crisp and lightly browned on the edges, remove them from the oven. Place them on a cooling rack and let them sit for 5 minutes. Then, carefully remove tortilla bowls from the Perfect Tortilla pans. You can either keep them warm or cool them completely until you're ready to serve. The tortilla bowls can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week. To re-heat the tortilla bowls just bake them in a pre-heated 325 degree oven for 3 to 5 minutes, until they are warm.
Warnings? Manufacturers warn you should not expose your Perfect Tortilla pans to temperatures that exceed 400 degrees. If any part of the Perfect Tortilla pans appear to be damaged or malfunctioning, discontinue use immediately. Never use the Perfect Tortilla pans in a microwave oven, broiler in oven, or on a stove top. Never leave your Perfect Tortilla pan set unattended around children or allow children to use the pan set without adult supervision.
Did it work? Our tester was very impressed. She thinks the pans are great. Her family does taco night twice a month and she's always looking for ways to make the meal more exciting for her two girls. Glenn said this will do it and her youngest daughter seemed to agree when we had her taste test the tortilla bowls we made with the pans. Our tester also really liked that with the pan set she could bake her tortillas and make them just as crisp as if they had been fried, but a lot healthier
