What is it? a green eco-friendly ten-inch frying pan
What does it claim? to allow you to cook without oil, butter or grease
Who tested it? Norfolk resident Wendy Juren.
What Are The Instructions? Before you fry your first item in the Orgreenic Kitchenware, you need to 'season' it. May sound difficult but it's not. You first spread a light coating of vegetable oil over the entire inside 'green' surface of the pan and place it on your stovetop over medium heat. Watch carefully and remove the pan once it begins to smoke. Let it cool completely. Now wipe away excess oil with a cloth or paper towel and you're ready to cook.
You can now use your Ceramic Green Non-Stick Fry Pan just like you would any other frying pan.
It's important to note that to maintain the performance of your OrGREENic pan it's recommended that you repeat the 'seasoning' process at least twice a year.
It's also recommended that you hand wash your cookware in warm water using mild dish soap and towel dry.
Did it work? Juren was pleased with the results using the Ceramic Green Non-Stick Fry Pan. She says normally she has to use butter to make her scrambled eggs cook just right, but that means they also stick to the pan. Usually when she cooks eggs, especially scrambled ones, they stick to the pan. Sometimes, she's had to soak the pan for hours to get the egg off. With the Ceramic Green Non-Stick Fry Pan, that was not a problem. All the eggs made it from the pan to the plate with nothing left behind. That made clean up a breeze. She gives the pan two thumbs up.
Cost/Availability? You can purchase the Ceramic Green Non-Stick Fry Pan at Walmart for $19.99.
