VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A name that's become synonymous with quality in the beer world has officially landed in Virginia Beach.
Crews are putting the final touches on Aslin Beer Co.’s first location in Hampton Roads, and 13News Now got a sneak preview ahead of its grand opening Memorial Day weekend.
Kai Leszkowicz started the company in a Northern Virginia garage with his brother-in-law in 2015.
“By far, aesthetics, [Virginia Beach] is my favorite location,” said Leszkowicz.
Brewery Stars, a brewery ranking website, currently has two Aslin locations in the top ten best breweries in Virginia.
The company is bringing all of its prized beers and signature color-bomb aesthetic to the heart of the Vibe District.
The Virginia Beach location has indoor space with a full bar, and a carefully-curated outdoor area featuring a giant TV, seating circles, another bar, and a second-story deck overlooking it all.
Aslin Beer Co.’s ability to push the limits in the brewing process has made the company a big name in the craft beer scene.
It’s a big "get" for the city of Virginia Beach, but the feelings are mutual.
“As we look to grow the business, we see that Virginia Beach has a very strong craft beer community,” said Leszkowicz. “We feel at home in that, and feel that we can bring some level of contribution to that community.”
Aslin Beer Co. opens on Saturday, May 25, and is located at 823 Virginia Beach Boulevard.
