2 Mega Millions tickets bought in Virginia won $1 million apiece

VIRGINIA, USA — Two Mega Millions tickets bought in Virginia won $1 million apiece in Tuesday night's drawing, according to the Virginia Lottery.

The winning tickets were purchased at a Beulah BP Mart in Chesterfield and a Kroger in Mechanicsville. The winning numbers for the drawing were 1-6-10-23-27, and the Mega Ball number was 18; both tickets each came within one number, the Mega Ball number, of hitting the estimated $62 million jackpot.

The winning ticket holders have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes. The odds of winning a $1 million dollar prize in Mega Millions are 1 in 12,607,306.
