VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Colleagues and friends squeezed into a break room Saturday at Sentara Virginia Beach General to honor a nurse who faithfully served the community for 43 years.
Licensed Practical Nurse Barbara Taylor worked her last shift on February 1st.
Colleagues said she worked on the 4East Med-Surg floor where she mentored, trained, taught and mothered hundreds of nurses and nursing students over the years.
Virginia Beach Mayor Bobby Dyer also stopped by to thank Taylor for her years of dedicated service.
Her nursing family said she will be greatly missed.
