VBSPCA takes in more than a dozen rescue dogs

The animal shelter said the dogs will be available for adoption in the coming days and will be posted on their website when they are ready.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — More than a dozen neglected animals are settling in at the Virginia Beach SPCA (VBSPCA).

The shelter picked up 18 dogs and puppies in Richmond on Friday. Ten of those dogs were rescued from poor conditions near Louisville, Kentucky, while the other eight were surrendered to National Mill Dog Rescue by commercial breeders.

The VBSPCA said the dogs will be available for adoption in the coming days and will be posted on their website when they are ready.

The latest additions to the shelter come on the heels of a busy January, where the VBSPCA said it received 56 animals from transfers alone. If you want to help the shelter financially, you can donate on its website.
