ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. — Remember the Lip Sync Challenge that stormed all of social media last year when police departments across the country sung and dance to hit songs?
Well, one local shelter is doing it's very own version of that challenge and rousing area SPCAs and humane societies to rise to the occasion.
The Isle of Wight County Animal Services kicked off the "GIT UP AND ADOPT CHALLENGE," with a video on their Facebook page of staffers dancing with fur babies to Blanco Brown's "The Git Up."
They challenged the Chesapeake Humane Society, Heritage Humane Society and Portsmouth Humane Society.
It's all in an effort to raise awareness and promote adopting from local shelters.
