NORFOLK, Va. — The Grinch is heading to Norfolk this holiday season!

Broadway in Norfolk will present "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical" from Thursday, December 26, through Sunday, December 29, at Chrysler Hall.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday, July 25, at 10 a.m., starting at $49. You can purchase tickets at the Scope Arena box office or via Ticketmaster.

"Audiences will discover the magic of Dr. Seuss’ classic holiday tale as it comes to life live on stage. Featuring the hit songs “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas,” THE GRINCH discovers there’s more to Christmas than he bargained for in this heart-warming holiday classic," a news release from Seven Venues stated.

The release said Max the Dog will narrate during the musical, as the Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas.

This year's Grinch musical production is directed by Matt August and choreographed by Bob Richard, based on the original choreography by John DeLuca and originally created by three-time Tony Award-winning director Jack O’Brien, according to the release.
