CHESAPEAKE, Va. — The California-based Mexican fast-food chain Del Taco is set to make its Hampton Roads debut this summer with the first location in Chesapeake.
Just in time for the heat and sun, the grand opening is set for June 2024, but the company hasn't shared the exact date. The restaurant will be located at 1501 Sams Circle.
The restaurant chain is known for its West Coast-style food. You can get anything from carne asada fries to an "Epic Cali" bacon burrito or a regular "Del Taco." They also have breakfast and desserts on the menu.
The opening comes nearly three years after the company announced it would expand to Hampton Roads, with the franchise group Virginia Taco, LLC setting its sights on Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Hampton, and Newport News.
