WALLOPS ISLAND - The Rock-Sat-X payload had a successful rocket launch Saturday morning from Wallops Island.
The rocket is carrying experiments from students at Virginia Tech and several other universities.
The launch was first scheduled back in March, but was delayed because of the weather.
Officials say the rocket is also carrying supplies headed to the International Space Station.
The next rocket launch is scheduled for June 25th.
