Great American Picnic

The 33rd Annual Great American Picnic and Fireworks

Where: Town Point Park, Downtown Norfolk Waterfront, VA

When: Saturday, July 4th, 2015; 5 p.m. -10 p.m.

Admission: FREE and everyone is welcome

Fireworks: On the Elizabeth River, begin at 9:30 p.m.

Special Notes: Please bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating.

Stars & Stripes Explosion

Where: Beach Street USA 22nd St. Virginia Beach, VA 23451

When: Saturday, July 4th, 2015; 8 p.m.

Admission: FREE and everyone is welcome

Fireworks: Fireworks over the ocean begin at 9:30 p.m.

Special Notes: Multiple live performances on oceanfront stages. The musical acts offer something for everyone with tribute bands saluting some of the biggest names in music. Fireworks will end the night.

July 4th Celebration at Mount Trashmore

Where: Mount Trashmore Park, Virginia Beach, VA

When: Saturday, July 4th, 2015, 4pm-10pm

Admission: FREE and everyone is welcome. $5 parking fee.

Fireworks: Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Annual 4th of July Fireworks and Boat Parade!

Boats will gather in Osprey Bay between 6:30 and 7:00pm. This is North of Sandbridge at Teal Crescent. The parade will begin at 7:00pm traveling south to the Mill Pond.

The fire works show will be on the Pond at the intersection of Sandbend and Back Bay Crescent at 9:10 the night of the 4th following the boat parade. In the event of rain or unfavorable wind conditions, the fireworks show will be moved to the 5th at 9:10pm.

Admission: FREE and everyone is welcome. $5 fee for on-site parking.

Stars and Stripes Spectacular

Where: Constant's Wharf Park and Marina

When: Saturday, July 4th, 2015; 8 p.m.

Admission: Free and open to the public.

Special Notes: The park will open at 5:30 p.m. with entertainment, children's activities, local merchandise vendors and many food choices available.

Fireworks: The firework show will begin at 9 p.m.

Parking: No onsite parking is available, however, shuttle parking for this event will be available at the following locations:

  • Parking lot (old Fresh Pride location) (569 East Constance Road)
  • First Baptist Church parking lot (237 North Main Street)
  • Market Park parking lot, located adjacent to the Suffolk Seaboard Station Railroad Museum (326 North Main Street)

·Mills Godwin Courthouse parking lot (150 North Main Street).

Shuttle runs will begin at 5:15 p.m. The last shuttle run before the fireworks show is 8:30 p.m. Shuttles will resume after the fireworks.

July 4th at Fort Monroe

Due to pending severe weather fireworks at Fort Monroe will now be shot off at 8:30 p.m.

You and your whole family can spend Independence Day at Fort Monroe! Family fun activities will be offered in the Wherry Quarter of Fort Monroe

4th of July Stars in the Sky

Celebrate the anniversary of the nation's birth in the Revolutionary City! Join Colonial Williamsburg for a special militia muster. Enjoy a salute to the 13 original states, featuring music performed by the Fifes and Drums, flags of each state, the firing of muskets and cannon. The day concludes with fireworks visible from both Market Square and Palace Green.

Yorktown Independence Day Celebration

The Yorktown 4th of July Fireworks have been cancelled because of the threat of severe weather that is forecast to impact our area later this evening. There is no rain date for the fireworks.
