New Rapterra rollercoaster to open at Kings Dominion in 2025

Kings Dominion in central Virginia announced a new addition to the theme park, the Rapterra. The rollercoaster is 145 feet tall and 3,086 feet long.

DOSWELL, Va. — The world's tallest and longest-launched wing coaster is set to open in Virginia by 2025.

Central Virginia theme park Kings Dominion announced a new addition to the park, Rapterra, as part of its 50th-anniversary celebration. 

The rollercoaster is 145 feet tall and 3,086 feet long and the ride lasts for 89 seconds.

Riders will be launched forward at 65 miles per hour and then plummet into a dive loop, following thrilling aerial maneuvers, including an S-turn, a wing slide, a flat spin, an airtime hill, and a 360-degree raptor roll.
