Virginia Beach Wave Trolley getting 'Something in the Water' festival goers around the Oceanfront

The trolley will take festival-goers to and from the main stage to their parking garage or the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The highly anticipated Pharrell Williams 'Something in the Water' festival takes place from April 26 to 28, and many are wondering about how 30,000 ticket holders are going to get around.

Hampton Roads Transit is offering the VB Wavy trolley. It will run from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. every day of the festival. It will take festival-goers to and from the main stage to their parking garage.

The trolley will stop at its locations every 15-minutes depending on traffic.

HRT said it will be making stops at the 5th Street stage, 9th Street Garage, 19th Street Municipal Lot, 25th Street Garage, 31st Street Garage, 34th Street Garage, and the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

Riders will be able to pay their fare with an app that activates on April 25. Riders can also pay for the trolley with exact change. An adult single trip is $2, and children are free. Anyone can get a GoPass for 1 day for $4.50.
