Something in the Water lineup to be announced 'sometime this week'

Virginia Beach city council member Dr. Amelia Ross-Hammond said the lineup will be announced "sometime this week" with tickets going on sale soon afterward.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The official lineup for this year's Something in the Water music festival is expected sometime this week, according to a city official close to festival organizers.

In a Virginia Beach City Council meeting Tuesday afternoon, the topic was discussed by council member Dr. Amelia Ross-Hammond, who is the city's liaison to the festival organizers.

"I contacted the groups that’s involved with this. Reps from the Live Nation said they haven’t put out anything yet," she said. "There will be sometime this week a lineup, and after that the ticket sales [but] they did not give a date... sometime this week, but just for the public to know, there’s no date yet.”

Earlier Tuesday, posts surfaced on social media with a URL and a screenshot of a page on Live Nation's website that had 2024 SITW ticket information. The link to the Live Nation page now brings up a "page not found" message.

Additionally, a Facebook event page with 2024 SITW ticket information was live for several hours Tuesday before being taken down. The event page was hosted by the verified Facebook pages for Live Nation, Something in the Water, and the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater at Virginia Beach.

Earlier this summer, organizers announced this year's music festival will be held on Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13.

The festival will be combined with the World Premiere of Pharrell’s new movie "Piece By Piece," a source previously told 13News Now. The movie, an animated LEGO-style film that chronicles Pharrell’s childhood in Virginia and Virginia Beach, is set to release on Friday, October 11.
