NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The renowned gospel singer Queen Esther Marrow is returning to her hometown to perform at the Ferguson Center for the Arts in Newport News next month.
The show will take place on Friday, Jan. 5 at 8 p.m., with the lobby doors opening at 7 p.m.
"Her shows are often described as uplifting and inspirational. With her background deeply rooted in gospel music, this show is a complication of gospel, soul, and inspirational music with a message for everyone," event organizers wrote in a news release. "The one-time performance is a wonderful way to start the new year."

Special guests include singer and actor Maurice Lauchner, classically trained performer Dawana Richardson, musician Roy Richardson and more.
