NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State University and the Tidewater African Cultural Alliance (TACA) are teaming up to kick off Black History Month with Afrobeats FEST 757!
The festival, which will be held from February 1 through 3 at the NSU Student Center, aims to "connect us to our African heritage, while showing us a good time" by featuring infectious Afrobeats tunes and dance moves!
The festival first began in 2019 and this year organizers say this year will be bigger than ever, featuring artists representing Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, USA, and Zambia.
The festival will include dance workshops, panel discussions, and documentary screenings that explore Afrobeats as a bridge between African Americans and Africans on the continent.
More information and tickets are available on TACA's website.
