NORFOLK, Va. — The Perry Glass Studio at the Chrysler Museum of Art remains at the same location, though it now has a new address.
As of Aug. 15, the new street address for the Perry Glass Studio is 245 Grace St. The Museum's mailing address is not changing.
Visitors can still find the glass studio on GPS apps and search engines using both the new address and the studio's old address on Duke Street.
The change is the result of construction revisions as the Chrysler Museum of Art is in the throes of its $55-million expansion of the Perry Glass Studio.
Construction in the expansion began in March 2023, and is now expected to open to the public in late winter or early spring of 2025. The remodeled glass studio will be triple it's original size, with three hot shops, classrooms dedicated to each glassmaking technique and a performance theater that seats 200.
The Perry Glass Studio has been temporarily closed since June 21 as its staff transitions into the new space. Classes and demonstrations are set to resume Sept. 12.
