13News Now meteorologist Hunter Forst

Hunter is a Connecticut native and has had a passion for the weather ever since he was a child.

While he loved growing up in New England, he moved down to Florida where he received a bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship with a minor in Marketing from The University of Tampa. During his time at UT, he was part of the Student Government as the Sustainability Chairman and the Director of Programming where he created campus-wide recycling events and received 3,000 signatures to acquire more recycling containers on campus.

After graduation, he worked at a law firm on the marketing team and took full advantage of all the year-long outdoor activities Florida had to offer.

Hunter then decided to move back to Connecticut and attend Western Connecticut State University to achieve the lifelong dream of becoming a meteorologist. Here he received his BS in Meteorology with a minor in Mathematics.

During his time at WCSU, he was the Vice President of the Meteorology Club and had the opportunity to intern back in Tampa, at WFLA for the Summer of 2023. Because of this opportunity, he was able to then become the Weekend Meteorologist at Western Mass News during his senior year at WCSU.

Hunter is excited to advance his career down to Hampton Roads and experience everything this beautiful area has to offer.
